Recent findings suggest that the gladiator shoes have emerged as the latest trend for most of the celebrities all across the globe. The sales of gladiator shoes have increased manifolds after they started being featured by celebrities as a fashion statement.
Gladiator shoes have come back with a bang, as they have more style and variety. Previously, celebrities didn't wear gladiator shoes, since they were considered old-fashioned, but my oh my how things have changed now!
The warrior-likeness design of these shoes has inspired many young celebrities to opt for the gladiator sandals. The knee high design is one of the most selling types of shoes as they are thought to be a sign of a strong woman. This design is one of the most popular amongst celebrities too, as I am sure you've noticed.
Another type of gladiator sandals, which is becoming rather popular, is the gladiator boots with pointed heels. This boot looks sexy yet classy when used with matching outfits. Thus, it is very vital to choose the right outfit for your particular gladiator sandals. Skinny tight jeans are the best option to wear with all kinds of boots to look more trendy and stylish, and these boots are no different.
The best place to search for the knee high or boot type gladiator shoes is the Internet. Online portals provide a range of these shoes to choose from. There are several types of shoes available in the market, but one needs to make sure about the quality before buying a pair online.
Gladiator shoes have undergone several changes from their time of origin in Rome. These old-fashioned shoes have transformed into sexy high heels and modern knee-high shoes. They have combined durability, style and comfort and are giving the previous dominant types of shoes a run for their money. These sandals are well suited for any kind of occasion and any locale, whether you are going to the beach to party or to a black tie event.
You'll find that all the other shoes will either be less comfortable or less durable. It is due to both of these reasons that the gladiator shoes have gained so much popularity. They have emerged as the first choice for the majority of women's population all around the world.
Women Shoes and Their Trend
Life has many great mysteries one of which is this: Why do women need so many shoes?
Apparently, on average, a woman has about 20 pairs of shoes at one time. In extreme but not rare cases, some women (who are sometimes called shoe fetishists) own hundreds of pairs. Not exactly Imelda Marcos but still, alarming and very true! Men feel that such findings are preposterous, only because the same study reports that on average, men have 3 pairs of shoes at a time. One of life's many great mysteries? Definitely!!
Many have tried to understand and to explain this phenomenon. A bestselling author has even said that there is a deep and dark love relationship between a woman and her shoes, which explains this arcane need. Perhaps this is true but then again, maybe there is a simpler explanation. After all, shoes over the years have become more than just footwear.
We can see that shoes have redefined themselves by becoming more and more like an accessory to a woman. Shoes today are more than just a strap and sole and the only grouping that is done is based on comfort. Shoes nowadays have elaborate and beautiful designs, thanks to the number of shoe designers who have emerged and reaped huge success in the shoe industry over the years.
It can be said that the 21st century is the era of shoes. Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, are among the many successful shoe designers who are synonymous with frightfully expensive designer footwear. These are the lots who, with the help of Hollywood, were responsible in revolutionizing the shoe industry. As a result, shoes today have become a sect within the fashion industry where their sole purpose, is to accessorize.
No more just an item for the feet, shoes are products of beauty worn to be showed off. Fancy footwear has become a craze among women, and even among some fashionable men. As an accessory, shoes are used to complement what a woman wears and a way for a woman to express her sense of fashion. Her style choice for the day directly affects her choice of hair styles, accessories, make up, handbags and of course, shoes. And this is another reason that has driven the need for women to purchase many types and designs of shoes. Simply said, woman buy shoes to accessorize. When one needs to accessorize, ones needs choice and hence, the average of 20 pairs in the closet. In a way this also explains the conclusion of a study conducted recently on the sales of shoes. It was said that they remain the same when compared to other items despite the looming recession.

Party Shoes
Choosing the best party shoe can sometimes be a hard task especially when you don't know where to start. You certainly can't go to a party with casual shoes or slippers. You also don't want to wear shoes that are uncomfortable, so selecting the right shoe for the right occasion is essential. With these useful tips you should get the best party shoes to get you on the groove.
The type of shoe that you wear determines the outlook of your outfit. Ladies with short legs should avoid wearing ankle shoes that will make them look even shorter in skirts and dresses. Nude colored shoes as well as peep toes are a great illusion to elongate your legs. Sling-backs are great party shoes due to their adjustable straps that will perfectly fit you.
If you like glamour and jewelry, be careful not to overdo it, too much can be overwhelming. Dress up Shoes are the perfect party shoes for you since most of them come with all the 'bling' and shine throughout the occasion. They get you the attention that you need and you can easily become the center of attraction at the occasion.
Another important tip is that you should never try to match the color of your shoes with your outfit unless you bought them together as a package. Finding the right shade of shoe with your outfit can be great hustle and you may end up ruining your occasion. Silver, black and gold are the common colors for most party shoes. However, if you are wearing a darker shade of outfit you can brighten up your look by wearing a bright color shoes with colors such as pink, red or purple.
Heels are the most common choice for party shoes that you will find in any occasion. However, most of the girls think that the higher the heel the better you look. This might not be the case because there is no point of having high heels which you cannot dance with. Get the right heel height that will be comfortable for you. If you still fancy the higher heels you can try wedges that are thicker and comfortable walking around with.
Getting a nice pair of party shoes could be costly but you look at it as an investment for future outfits. Several pairs are a great option but you should not have the whole closet stuffed with party shoes.
Tips for Stretching Leather Shoes
If you have just purchased a new pair of leather shoes, only to find out that they are a bit too tight, there is no need to panic. It's possible to either break these in through regular use, or follow a few simple steps for stretching leather shoes. By choosing to stretch them, you will have the same style but in a size that conforms more easily to your feet, in very little time. The first step is to take a look at the shoe and see if there are any areas where it is tighter than in others. These areas may need some special attention.
You don't need to go to a cobbler to go about stretching leather shoes. Common household products like alcohol can be extremely useful for this purpose. Before putting on your shoes, rub in a bit of alcohol to areas that need to be stretched, such as the heels, toes, and sides of the shoe. Because alcohol dries faster than water, it won't get your feet wet when you put your shoes on right after rubbing it in. The alcohol makes the leather more pliable, so that when you are wearing shoes that have been rubbed with it, the leather will gently stretch to accommodate the shape of your feet, naturally.
Unlike water or some other materials, the alcohol will not dry out the leather so you don't have to worry about any cracking or creasing. It's best to leave the shoes on for a couple of minutes after you have put the alcohol on, and repeat this process for a few days until the shoes fit better. Another trick for stretching leather shoes is to fill up plastic bags with water, and then stuff these inside of your shoes. Put them in the freezer overnight. As the water freezes, it will expand slightly, gently stretching the shoes without the need for rubbing any other substances into them.
Some experts also recommend stuffing your shoes with common household items such as banana peels or peeled potatoes. While there is no one trick that will work for stretching leather shoes every time, you can experiment with the techniques that work the best for you. Perhaps the simplest method is to wear thick socks and take short walks for a few days wearing your tight shoes. The socks will protect your feet from blistering, while stretching out the leather easily.

Cat Safety Shoes
Although it seems quite easy to look for working boots, most people find a little bit challenging. The reason why people should go for safety work boots is for protection in the job. A pair of work boots, depending on its type, can keep your feet from getting injured. There are different types of safety shoes including steel toe boots, insulated boots, chemical resistant work shoes, and waterproof boots. Many blue collar workers opt for safety work shoes to reduce chances of foot injury when handling heavy equipment and working in dangerous environments. Some safety work boots don't only provide protection for your feet but also allows you to walk safely on slippery floors.

Many shoe makers have improved safety boots over time and have manufactured better products to keep customers satisfied. For instance, comfort has become extremely relevant over the years. Many workers would rather wear comfortable shoes than heavy work boots and manufacturers have responded to this issue by incorporating lightweight materials on working shoes to make them more convenient. Also, there are customers who want to look stylish even in their boots, and so makers have crafted working shoes to look stylish. In fact, there are numerous designs to give you more choices.

Shoes That We Must Have
I just bought a new pair of shoes and they feel good and look sexy! Who can have too many shoes... as long as you wear them? I am busy now making room in my closet.
While looking at my shoes I wondered "How many do I really need?", "How many do I have? "and "Do I really need all of them?". Wow lots of shoes! I need to get organized. So I started by putting them in categories, business casual and dress for work, formal wear, just going out to have fun, comfortable for shopping, golfing, running and walking. I need more room in my closet.
As I was organizing my shoes I saw some that I was not going to wear but I wanted someone to have them. So I gave them to "Goodwill". I also discovered shoes that are past repair and tossed them. Now I have more room in my closet.
How many pairs do you need to own? It is different for everyone. I looked at this as how I live my life and it helped me understand what type of shoes I needed. Certainly you need shoes for fun, work, formal, and performance (running, exercising).
How many fun pair do you need to own? Fun shoes can be dressy pumps, dressy flat shoes, casual pumps, casual flat shoes, comfortable shoes, boat shoes, canvas shoes, sandals, and boots are very popular today. Boots come in different styles short boots, mid-calf boots, knee-high boots and boots to wear in the rain or snow. These are just a few of the fun shoes you know you want!
Now we need to look at work.I have an office job and wear business dress everyday with an occasional casual Friday. So I need at least two pair of business dress and two pair of business casual. Depending on the climate you live in you will need rain boots, snow boots, and or water proof snow boots. Remember you should never wear your shoes two days in a row. Your shoes need time to dry out. Yes your feet sweat. Your shoes will last longer if you do. Plus your feet will smell better too.
It is fun to get dressed up for a formal occasion once and while. All rules change for formal wear. Each formal outfit needs it own pair of shoes. You might have two pair for the same outfit depending on the occasion. Is it a night out on the town with your Sweetheart or is it a Wedding? I always look at peoples shoe's to see what type of person they are.
We all need some exercise so we can live a healthy active life. Depending on the type of activity or exercise you like will dictate what you need. I love to walk and golf so I need two pair for walking and two pair for golf. It is always good to have an extra pair to break in before the old pair gives out.

Safety Shoes and Work Boots Provide Protection and Comfort
In the construction industry and a handful of other professions, it's essential to wear protective shoes or safety toe work boots that help guard against painful and debilitating foot injuries. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has identified three types of potential foot injuries that can be prevented or reduced by the wearing of protective safety shoes or work boots: foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, injuries resulting from sharp objects piercing the sole, and safety risks from a worker's exposure to electrical hazards.
In addition to work boots that are equipped with steel toe protection or the lighter weight composite toe reinforcement, there are also safety shoes and boots that have what's called a "metatarsal guard". When you stop and think that there are 26 fragile bones in the foot, 19 of which comprise toe bones and adjoining metatarsal bones, the need for protective footwear is undeniable. Fractures of the metatarsal bones are not uncommon among industrial workers and people in the construction industry; and those injuries need to be medically treated to prevent permanent pain, arthritis, and other problems.
A number of manufacturers have recognized the need to provide additional metatarsal protection in some of their boot styles, including companies such as Georgia Boot and Carolina. One Georgia Boot style (#9310) features a metatarsal guard as well as a steel toe, puncture-resistant midsole, and waterproof leather.
In addition to advantages like metatarsal guards and puncture resistant soles, work boots and safety shoes can also offer other types of protection, including electrical hazard protection, shock absorption, static dissipation, and slip resistant materials and treading.
If you're looking for comfort as well as toe protection, Timberland Pro boots may be the solution. Timberland Pro work boots and hiking shoes are available in lightweight styles that not only offer steel toe protection but are lightweight and roomy. Wolverine is another brand that finds ways to include both comfort and protection features into their work boots and safety shoes. The company's DuraShocks line of work boots features compression pads in the heel and forefoot for added comfort.
The type of foot protection you need depends on the specific work you do and the potential hazards that your occupation presents. The good news is that you don't necessarily have to sacrifice comfort for protection when choosing work boots. In addition to cushioning and extra roominess, another tip for buying comfortable work boots is to select boots with a breathable lining that draws sweat away from your foot and helps perspiration evaporate.
When you shop online for safety footwear, you'll notice that there's a wide selection of styles and colors, as well as safety and comfort features. Whether you need work boots that are insulated, waterproof, slip-resistant, or electrical hazard-rated, you can usually find exactly what you're looking for at reputable, well-stocked Internet shoe stores.

Women's Shoes Appropriate Event
It's always been the case that women tend to have a lot more shoes than men, largely because they feel the pressure to be fashionable a lot more than do men. It is not always easy for women to get quality shoes, because fashion changes so quickly there is a tendency for some manufacturers to think they can make shoes of lower quality. While it's great to have fashionable shoes, women should also have shoes for different occasions, some of which need not be so fashionable.
Everyday Shoes
There are days in most women's lives when they seem to be running around, doing errands, going to a school play and picking the kids up from cubs and brownies. On these days what women really need is a comfortable pair of brogues or trainers. While it's good to be fashionable, you don't need to be competing all the time. Sometimes you just need a pair of serviceable, sensible shoes for the busy days that most women have.
High Heels
Every woman feels at her best when she is wearing fashionable shoes with heels. Heels are great for evenings out or for those occasions when you want to make an impression on someone. If you save your heels for such occasions or for when you are going out with your girl friends then you can afford a more expensive pair of quality shoes. There are some good women's fashion houses where you can get money saving COUPONS for a pair of decent high heels.
Comfortable Flats
Flat shoes are quite fashionable, and when you wear them with a straight skirt you get the Audrey Hepburn look of the late fifties and early sixties. Flat shoes are great for work, especially if you have a job that involves a lot of standing. Heels may look great, but at the end of a day's work the pain in your calves and your feet is just not worth it. You can get some really pretty flat shoes now, so why not look great and feel comfortable at the same time.
Winter Boots
Most women need boots, and not just in winter. Boots have been a big fashion item now for a good number of years and most women have at least two pairs. Ankle boots are great with jeans, especially if they have a little heel and long boots are great during winter. Many women wear boots more than they wear shoes because there are some really great styles around now.
Pumps
Most women should have a pair of low heeled shoes in their wardrobes. Although these don't have the same appeal as high heels and are not as comfortable as flat shoes, they're great for certain occasions like a job interview.
Unlike men, women really do need shoes for different occasions because today's women have many different roles. When women have shoes that are suitable for different occasions, then the occasional pair of fashionable heels, even if they are not good quality, will add some extra spice to their wardrobe.
Choosing Shoes For Men
It can be difficult to know what to look for when shopping for shoes, there are many considerations to be taken into account; what are the occasions when you will be wearing the shoes, which shoes are currently in fashion, what colour shoes suit your complexion, which shoes are good for which weather. Well here, we hope to help you to understand which shoes you should be thinking about buying for specific occasions.
There are some fundamental considerations you should make first-and-foremost. Why do you need to buy a new pair of shoes?
Work Shoes:
If you are a labourer, choosing shoes for work, you need to take account of how much the shoes will protect your feet. Mens shoes can be fitted with several features that make a shoe safe for manual work, a steel toecap for example, is essential if you spend the majority of your working life operating heavy machinery or carrying heavy objects.
On the other hand, perhaps you work in an office where your boss expects you to look smart at all times. For this occasion, shoes need to be traditional and conservative - this is good news for the fashion conscious men among us, these styles of shoe are ageless classics, always instilling an appearance of sophistication upon the wearer. A decent pair of work shoes can work wonders for a man's style.
Alternatively, perhaps you are an athlete, in which case you will need a shoe that will offer optimal performance while protecting vulnerable areas, such as knee and ankle joints - it is certainly possible to buy trainers that offer a suspension-like feature that will help to protect your joints.
Formal Occasions:
Dress shoes are not only the reserve of men who wear suits to work, although they are the shoe of choice for any man who does. Plenty of occasions warrant dressing-up, and for such times, dress shoes are essential. A dress shoe is a formal type of footwear, such as oxfords, brogues or loafers. Choose either a slip-on or a laced variety in either black or brown. For formal occasions, bright colours are definitely a no-no.
Casual Mens Shoes
We are extending this segment beyond the simple everyday casual attire of tracksuits and jeans, but to chinos and combat trousers too. This means that the casual shoes discussed here are versatile and can be worn beyond a strictly casual situation - although not to an occasion that is formal to the extent that a pair of dress shoes is required.
These shoes need to be comfortable as well as stylish. Depending on the season, you can wear boots for colder times or sandals for warmer times. Trainers are also a casual shoe, but they can be smart when bought in conservative colours such as black.
Safety Shoes in the Workplace
The importance of safety shoes in the workplace cannot be overestimated. A startling 25% of all disability claims, the world over, relate to foot injury. In the USA alone over 100 000 foot injuries occur in the workplace every year, with an estimated price tag of $1 billion.
The crippling cost and distress to employees of foot injuries, has prompted most nations, including the UK, to implement strict mandatory policies which enable effective protective strategies in the workplace. Fortunately these measures have paid huge dividends as can be seen in the Canadian construction industry where foot injury was reduced by a whopping 60% when protective footwear was introduced.
Although we often associate foot injury with dangerous work environments; blisters, flat feet, dropped arches and aches and pains, associated with long periods of standing, all take their toll and can lead to unproductive staff and burgeoning absenteeism.
Interestingly enough it's not lacerations, amputations, crushings and punctures of the toes or feet which claim the most victims, it's 'slips and trips' which account for the highest number of work-related injuries across all industrial sectors, accounting for 2 million sick days per year!
Common injuries sustained during the work day, when no workplace footwear is provided, include:
• Crushed feet, broken bones and amputations of toes and feet. These types of injuries are prevalent in construction, logging, longshore, fishing and oil rig operations.
• Punctures to the soles of the feet. Any employee working with nails, wire, staples and scrap metal is vulnerable.
• Cuts, lacerations and severed toes can be the result of working with chain saws, rotary mowers or other machinery without adequate protection.
• Burns resulting from chemical and molten metal splashes or other flammable and explosive materials are frequent in the mining and manufacture of heavy metals and the production of chemicals.
• Electric shocks can be caused by static electricity or direct contact with the source. Unprotected construction workers and electricians are often victims.
• Sprains, fractures and broken bones can occur literally anywhere where there's a slippery floor, cluttered walkway or simply inadequate lighting. Teachers, shop assistants and office workers are not excluded from foot injury!
Today, there is a diverse range of UK safety footwear which provides guaranteed protection in the workplace, adheres to European safety standards and is attractive too.
• Steel-toed boots designed to protect the top of the feet. Polycarbonate-fibre toecaps are as efficient.
• Safety boots and shoes with impact protection. Dual density impact absorbing soles and padded polyurethane ankle collars, for additional support and protection, do the trick.
• Safety trainers and shoes with puncture protection. Flexible anti-perforation midsoles are effective.
• Protective footwear with anti-static rubber soles, waterproof leather uppers and breathable inner linings.
Remember to identify the potential hazards in the work place before selecting protective footwear for your staff. Then simply choose from a wide range of affordable, comfortable and, fashionable, UK safety footwear!
Toning Shoes
Muscle toning shoes seem like a great idea, but do they really work?
When combined with a regular exercise program, the answer is yes.
You will recognize muscle toning shoes by their rounded, slightly thicker sole. A variety of manufacturers make them, but basically they all offer these benefits:
Less stress on the knee, joints and the back
Improved gait and straighter posture
Activate long-neglected muscles
Tone and work out your abdominal and gluteus muscles
Burn more calories while standing and walking than other shoes
Muscle toning shoes date back a couple decades to the time when Swiss engineer Karl Muller found relief for his chronic back pain. While on vacation, he spent a great deal of time walking barefoot on soft ground. Upon investigation, he found that back pain and arthritis were almost non-existent among Masai tribal members in Africa - people who are known for walking barefoot over long distances. Muller recognized that this tradition, which runs counter to Western culture, accounted for less back pain. Based on his research, Muller got to work developing a different shoe - one that mimics walking barefoot on uneven, soft ground. In 1996, he came up with the MBT shoe, standing for Masai Barefoot Technology. His shoes were also called "anti-shoe" because they have a positive impact on the whole body - whereas other shoes solely address the feet.
By 2003, MBT Shoes hit Western markets and have since sparked a number of brands, such as MBTs, Skechers Shape-Ups, Springboost, Orthaheel and Sano by Mephisto.
MBT
The anti-shoe, MBTs have a patented curved sole, as opposed to the flat sole of most shoes. A "Masai Sensor" is located beneath the heel, which mimics walking and standing on uneven ground. This artificial natural instability forces you to maintain your balance and encourages you to use your core muscles. When you step off, the midsole requires you to take a rolling movement with every step. All of this combines to give you a better walkout than other shoes. After walking in MBTs, you will find your entire body has had a workout. They will strengthen your muscles, improve your posture and take the pressure off your joints.
Skechers Shape-Ups
Skechers are known for their fun, modern look. Skechers Shape-Ups combine their sense of style with the benefits of muscle toning shoes. As the company touts, they help you "shape up while you walk." They have a kinetic wedge insert that absorbs the shock of walking on hard surfaces, a rolling bottom sole and dual-density midsole. The result of exercising in Shape-Ups:
Better muscle tone in your legs, back, buttocks and abdominal muscles
Less body fat
Better circulation and aerobic conditioning
Increased exercise tolerance

choose The Best and Comfortable Shoes Are Used To at Work Every Day and Every Time
People, who have professions that require them to stand for many hours a day on a daily basis, must carefully consider their choice of shoes. Even if they don't have any problems with their feet, they should invest in good shoes for standing all day, in order to preserve their feet healthy and happy.Such professions include but aren't limited to waiters, nurses, chefs or hairdressers. Having to stand for so many hours in a row may affect the spine and the muscles, especially if the footwear is not comfortable or designed especially for standing long hours. Back pain is one of the most frequently encountered medical conditions among these professional categories.
Common features of shoes for standing all day
Best shoes for standing all day should provide good cushioning and support to the foot arch. The best type of shoes is low heel ones. It is not advisable to wear completely flat shoes, because they don't offer the best arch support. The heel height should be somewhere between a quarter of an inch and 2 inches. Some people prefer buying an insole to put it inside the shoes for additional comfort. Insoles are good because they help reducing pressure points.
Since you'll have to wear your work shoes for many hours in a row, it is strongly advisable that they are breathable and lightweight. Perhaps you noticed among nurses that they usually wear those white leather clogs with little holes all over the surface. That's an excellent choice to help feet breathe throughout all day and better adjust to temperature variations. Genuine leather is a very good material, as it prevents feet from sweating or overheating.
Good shoes for standing need to have a comfortable shape. Never buy shoes with pointy front or thin heels, because they don't allow the feet to relax. When you go shopping for work shoes, it's best to do it in the evening, when you feet are already tired and swollen, because it's important that your work shoes feel comfortable even at the end of a hard working day.
If you have to stand and walk on concrete, ceramic tile, hardwood or marble floors, you may want to choose shoes with anti-slip soles, in order to prevent incidents that could cause you to slip and fall over. Also, choose shoes that tie up with velcro or laces, in order to be able to provide adequate support for the ankles and heels.
